Today in class we were told to pick a film and annotated it. The film that I chose to do was 5 feet apart (2019 Mikki Daughtry). This assignment by took shots of scenes and explained what I seen and the meaning behind it  

 In this part of the of the mid-term we were asked to talk about main points in the movie  and how it made up a storyboard. We used clips from the movie to help put our storyboard together listing the different camera techniques that were used which all can be seen in the image place below.  In this part of the mid-term we the goals was to point out technical codes that were seen in the film and takes screenshot of them and explain the meaning that is being conveyed. In this part of the mid-term we were instructed to point out the symbolic codes which are the things that are shown below the surface to what the audience can see that convey a meaning.  In this part of the mid-term it was simple all that was needed was the summary of the film and the message that was intended to be taken from the film, the audience that the film was trying to gather. Our mid term was to choose a film that corresponds with the film that we are planning on making once we get back from break. In this assignment my group mates and I decided to use the movie Secret obsessed a Netflix original the reason we pick this movie was because of the genre we wanted our film to follow which was a thriller drama.  Production Design   Production design is the overall visual look of a production. through setting set design and props people are able to get a deeper meaning of the film without knowing it. Setting helps to understand the situation within that scene. Set design makes the film connect to people through watching the film. Props help that film to get the feeling like when people say "read the room" props help with this. Production Designers are responsible for the these things. production design encourages the audience to be engaged in the film.The purpose of production design is to get a overall look at a film through the mood, characters, themes.  https://youtu.be/wNXNEs2eBkg   In films setting is the time or location in a film it is important in film making because it gives the film context.
