Semiotics Preliminary Exercises 1 (Roland Barthes' Theory of semiotics)

Today in class we talked about Roland Barthes Theory on Semiotics. In the power point on Barthe that was spoken upon throughout the lesson today, my teacher mentioned that Bathes believes that signification was the process and the study of denotation and connotation. He referred to this process as the order of signification. What audience see and hear is denotative and what an audience feels and gain from media is connotative.
