Lighting in film
Today in class we talked about lighting the purpose of lighting in film. Lighting in film is the direction, quality, source of color of light. Lighting is mainly used to create a visual mood and creates a sense of meaning for the audience. Lighting direction in film is the angle at which a light hits the subject within the frame. Quality of lighting is in the softness of a shadow and how it behaves. Source of lighting in film is where the lighting is coming from whether it being natural lighting or edited lighting.
